Paintless dent repair
We read each dent in the light, then work the metal back by hand.
Paintless dent repair reshapes the metal itself, so the original paint stays when the damage allows. The inspection is free.
Real repair footage: a light board reflected in a hood.
The light board
The light board shows the dent. Its lines bend where the metal does.
A light board is a panel of straight bars of light. We set it beside the car so its lines reflect on the paint.
On a straight panel the lines run straight. Over a dent they bend, and the bend shows us its size and shape.
We keep reading the lines while we work. The repair is done when they run straight again, and you check it with us under the same light.

From behind the panel
Worked from behind the panel. In small, controlled moves.
We reach the back of the dent with long tools, here through the wheel well. The diagram shows what happens to one reflected line while we work.
Under the light board, a dent bends the reflected lines. That bend shows us its size and shape.
- The dent. Under the light board, a dent bends the reflected lines. That bend shows us its size and shape.
- Worked from behind. We reach behind the panel and push the metal back in small, controlled moves, reading the lines as we go.
- Straight again. The work is done when the lines run straight. You check it with us, under the same light.
Glue pulling
No way in from behind? We pull from the front.
Some dents sit where no tool can reach the back of the panel.
Then we glue small tabs to the surface over the dent and pull the metal out with them, a little at a time.
We read the panel under the light board the whole way, until the lines run straight.
When paint is needed
Paintless first.Paint only when a panel needs it.
Paintless repair keeps the original paint when the damage allows. A panel needs paint when its paint is cracked or the metal is stretched too far to bring back by hand. At the inspection we tell you what we see on each panel, so you know the plan before any work starts.
Repaired by hand
The metal is worked back from behind or pulled with glue tabs. The original paint stays.
When a panel needs paint
If a panel can't be repaired without paint, we tell you before any work starts, put it on the same estimate and arrange the paint work for you. The paint work may be done by a partner body shop. You keep one point of contact: us.
